Route instructions

[1] Turn right to walk down Salter's Lane. Turn left into Kielder Drive and walk straight ahead. You will cross two side streets (Rothbury Close and Northlands Park).

Watch out for traffic.

[2] When the road goes off to Harwood Court, you turn right to walk along Alnwick Avenue. On your left you will soon see a public footpath sign. Follow it around. It will lead you to a way between the houses.

[3] Go through the gate and you will reach a big green open space which you can walk around if you wish.

[4] When you feel happy to leave again, walk towards the middle of the space to go around the trees. Turn right soon after the trees to walk up to the fence. Turn right at the fence to walk behind the trees and back to the exit. Walk out of the green space and follow your steps back on the street.

[5] Ahead of you, you will see houses with signs 'Berwick Court' on. Go in between the two houses and follow the path right when it forks. You will now see a sign with 'Redesdale Court'. Follow the path.

[6] You will reach a play area on your left. When you are ready to leave, walk back to the shops and go through the arch to reach a small car park. Walk up to the pavement.

[7] Turn left on the pavement and follow Kielder Drive back to Salter's Lane. Turn right there to get back to the starting point.
